Laurel Thickets POA Board Meetings

The Laurel Thicket POA Board meets on the Second  Thursday of the month at 7:00 PM.  All board meetings are open to all Laurel Thicket property owners.  The meeting location is subject to change.  If you would like to attend a board meeting, please contact any board member for information and the location of the next POA meeting.

Volunteers Wanted!

The Association needs your help. If you are willing to volunteer to run for a board position in the future, or assist with a committee, please contact any board member.  If you have not already done so, please complete the Volunteer Form and put it in the POA mailbox at 1734-B Irish Blvd.

The Landscaping committee is gathering a group of volunteers to work on maintaining and beautifying the cul-de-sacs. If you are interested in participating in this project, please send an e-mail to .

The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) is looking for volunteers to train as members of the Carolina Trace CERT group.  CERT training teaches individuals how to care for themselves, their families, and their neighbors in the event of a disaster.  CERT members work as a team responding to community needs after an event such as a hurricane, tornado, earthquake or flood.  This excerpt from the CERT Training Manual describes the function and duties of  CERT members.  If you have an interest in joining CERT, please contact  Penny Turner, Carolina Trace CERT Coordinator for more information.

Volunteer opportunities abound in the community.  If you are looking for opportunities, you may want to check out the list of Lee County Volunteer Organizations and the Community-Wide Volunteer Opportunities.   Your time and service will be greatly appreciated!

In Case of Emergency

From the CTA Safety & Security Committee:  "Residents and employees working within Carolina Trace who observe a criminal act, an uncontrolled fire, a medical emergency or other significant event affecting the health and safety of the community shall immediately request emergency response via 911 (emergency medical response, law enforcement or fire fighters).  Following this notification, residents shall notify Security that outside assistance has been requested and provide Security with the location of the problem."

To assist with medical emergencies, a File of Life program is available for residents to help inform emergency responders of medical issues.  This is a voluntary program.  The File of Life Information, File of Life Medical Form and File of Life Labels are available here to assist you.
